Van Cliburn Concert Series » Pianist and Composer, Arturo O’Farrill

Arturo O’Farrill is a Grammy Award-winning jazz pianist and composer. He is the artistic director of the Afro-Latin Jazz Orchestra, a partner ensemble with the Jazz at the Lincoln Center. O’Farrill continues his family legacy in Latin music inspired by his late father, Chico O’Farrill. Winner of the Latin Jazz USA Outstanding Achievement Award, his acclaimed album Cuba: The Conversation Continues (on the Motéma label) took the 2016 Grammy Award for Best Latin Jazz Album. His “Three Revolutions” from the album Familia – Tribute to Chico and Bebo was the 2018 Grammy Award winner for Best Instrumental Composition. The Van Cliburn Concert Series Endowment Fund supported by Kelly and Marti Sudduth, Reed and Mary Ann Greenwood, Ellis and Kay Melton, Chip and Susan Chambers, and William M. Fuller Foundation.
