About the Curator
Victor Gomez joined Crystal Bridges Museum of American Art in the fall of 2021 as a Curatorial Assistant, Contemporary Art. In his current role as Curatorial Associate, Contemporary Art, Gomez focuses on art since 1960 and provides curatorial support in the development and implementation of curatorial projects, acquisitions, research, and content development for the ongoing exhibitions, as well as the facilitation of the day-to-day administrative functions in the contemporary department. Gomez is a practicing artist and draws upon his 3 years of curatorial, exhibitions, and collections experience to support Alejo Benedetti, Associate Curator, Contemporary Art. Before his time at Crystal Bridges, Gomez most recently served as a Museum Associate for Exhibitions and Collections Management at the Windgate Museum of Art while pursuing his degree in Accounting from Hendrix College.
