Addyson Hoey is a process-based artist from Sapulpa, Oklahoma. She holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from the University of Arkansas and is a current Master of Fine Arts Candidate at Sam Fox School of Design & Visual Arts in St. Louis, Missouri. Addyson explores digital vocabularies with methods of technological production in the form of paintings. As her process-based work shuffles through the digital realm back into the physical material in a looping system, her paintings reflect the ever-increasing presence of technology within our daily lives and the lossy jpeg. Her practice continues to question the systems of painting with concerns of mobility and immobility within spaces as her paintings get pushed into the realm of installation.
