The Fayetteville Roots Festival & NW Arkansas Jazz Society Showcase: CHARLIE HUNTER TRIO.

Intermission: Lightning Bug Hunt with Don Steinkrause

Guitarist Charlie Hunter consistently ups his game as an innovative writer and bandleader. He has worked with the likes of Norah Jones, John Mayer, D’Angelo, and countless others. He is widely considered the authority on the seven and eight-string guitar and continues to stun audiences with his ability to simultaneously bust out tasty bass parts, melodic leads, and swinging rhythms. Charlie’s trio includes the stunning vocalist Lucy Woodward and percussionist Keita Ogawa who together deliver an exhilarating blast of blues, jazz, soul, and funk. Don’t miss the last concert of the summer!

During the intermission we will host our annual lightning bug hunt with entomologist Don Steinkrause.

The evening’s performances are curated by Bryan Hembree, co-founder of the Fayetteville Roots Festival and Robert Ginsburg, executive director of the NW Arkansas Jazz Society.

Sponsored by Paul M. Angell Family Foundation, Roy & Christine Sturgis Charitable Trust, Bank of America, N.A., Trustee, Gelmart International, and General Mills.
Presented on the Coca-Cola Stage.
