Adult Workshop: Art of Street Calligraphy with Kim Arcega
Try your hand at a new form of lettering with artist Kim Arcega in this Street Calligraphy workshop! Kim, a dynamic artist known for blending traditional art forms with the bold techniques of street graffiti, will guide you through essential graffiti skills while helping you discover the expressive possibilities of calligraphy in an urban context. Participants are encouraged, but not required, to bring found Fabrics and Clothing—to transform into striking works of art.

ABOUT THE ARTIST
Kim Arcega is an interdisciplinary artist from Southeast LA and currently resides in Hot Springs, Arkansas. Her work focuses on ideas of community and incorporates the semiotics of culture, identity and reclamation through found and repurposed materials. Her work reflects on the complexity of human nature and the interconnectedness of people and power through visual storytelling. Arcega graduated in 2024 from University of Arkansas at Little Rock with a BFA in Applied Design. She teaches ceramics and woodworking at the Arkansas Museum of Fine Art and the Arkansas Regional Innovation Hub in Little Rock. Her work has been exhibited at The South Arkansas Art Center and The Historic Arkansas Museum.
