Ray Wylie Hubbard, a key figure in the Cosmic Cowboy movement of the late 1970s, defies F. Scott Fitzgerald’s idea that “there are no second acts in American lives”. Alongside icons like Willie Nelson and Waylon Jennings, Hubbard helped shape the Outlaw era in Texas music. Known for classics like “Redneck Mother,” he’s evolved into a songwriter focused on raw honesty, capturing both personal tales and dark character studies. His sound, born from the time-honored traditions of folk, country, and roots rock, embodies American music.

Bonnie Montgomery

Opening the night’s performances is singer-songwriter Bonnie Montgomery. Raised on southern gospel, Texas swing, Delta blues, and Ozark bluegrass, Montgomery trained as an opera singer before launching her award-winning career in outlaw country.
