Albers Interactions
Clark’s work explores family, joy, and collective identity through hair as a powerful symbol of Black cultural heritage. Inspired by Josef Albers’ color studies, Clark weaves vibrant fibers to celebrate the artistry, pride, and ancestral significance of hair in Black communities. Hair serves as a site of connection, storytelling, and resilience, where traditions and care rituals are passed down. Albers Interactions affirms that true health includes cultural affirmation and joyful bonds with loved ones. Each thread honors heritage, celebrating the resilience and connections that sustain us.
