What look like large brush strokes are actually the result of paint being poured directly on the canvas. Morris Louis experimented with the technique by overlapping layers of thinned paints, positioning the canvas at certain angles, and allowing gravity to determine the direction of paint flow. If you examine the colors and shapes from afar, what does the work’s title call to mind?
