Leaf type: Heart-shaped leaves that arrive once blooming is finished are variegated in a speckled pattern that is rarely seen in redbuds. Leaves also turn an attractive yellow during the fall before dropping for the winter.
Garden uses: This wonderfully hardy variety of redbud was given its name when plantsman Allen Bush discovered it growing in an alley near his garden. After careful cultivation, ‘Alley Cat’ is now enjoyed in gardens across the country!
