Jul 22, 2016 In the month of August, Crystal Bridges Museum of American Art invites visitors to view American Made: Treasures from the American Folk Art Museum, and then to take a deeper dive with Gallery Conversations, a Spotlight Talk, and Adult Mini-Workshops inspired by the exhibition. Gallery Conversations take place throughout the month including Art and Movement with Ballet Arkansas, Commemorating Loved Ones and Ozark Folkways on American Made. A Spotlight Lecture with Linda Eaton explores the use of textiles in early American homes, while American Made Adult Mini-Workshops are led by local practicing artists featuring mediums such as embroidery, sgraffito, and papercutting. Visitors can also support local filmmakers at the Third Annual Short Film Fest .The Crystal Bridges Third Annual Short Film Festival on August 25 will celebrate art and nature with local filmmaker-led panel discussions following film screenings.
