Memories in the Garden at Night: Call for Submissions

This year, we’re celebrating National Garden Week by highlighting the beauty of gardens at night—and we want you to help us by sharing your favorite nighttime memories!

Do you remember chasing fireflies in the garden at dusk, inhaling the scent of night-blooming flowers, sitting by a fire with friends? These are all precious moments we want to hear about.

Local garden club and Crystal Bridges members are invited to send us a description and photo of your favorite nighttime garden memory to be featured on a pop-up sign along the Crystal Bridges trails or in our gardens during Garden Week, June 1–7, 2025. We want to encourage people to stop and cherish these moments of connection that only nature can provide.

Memories will be selected on a first-come, first-serve basis. Contributors acknowledge that sign placement on campus will be at the discretion of Crystal Bridges and that Crystal Bridges can trim the text as needed to fit the design and space requirements of the label. Whenever possible, we will share any changes with the author.
