Second Saturday: Art & Nature

This month, we’re inviting you to explore the natural world through hands-on activities designed for all ages! Start your day with Drop-In Art Making in Durand and Estes from 11:00 a.m.–4:00 p.m., where creativity and nature come together.

Looking for even more art? Kick off your afternoon in the galleries with an Art Cart activation at 1:00 p.m., inspired by Mountain Landscape (Root Memorial Window), then stay for a Gallery Talk in the Commons of our new expansion as Tiffany window conservator Ariana Makau will give a special presentation on the conservation and restoration of our extraordinary stained-glass window.

Head to Walker Landing from 1:00–4:00 p.m. to meet Northsong Wild Bird Rehabilitation and learn about the birds that call the Crystal Bridges Trails home. Keep your eyes peeled for feathered friends as you build a treehouse with Brent EuDaly of Serious Toy Company and discover how natural materials can inspire imaginative creations.
