Visit us at the Museum Store for a regional artist showcase with UNITYWARE ceramics artist Abby Snyder she demonstrates ceramics hand building and talks about her practice.

Abby Snyder is the artist and maker behind UNITYWARE ceramics, where she creates hand-built functional sculpture inspired a lifelong appreciation for nature, literature, and folk narratives. Her work explores the intersection of utility, architecture, and story through richly sculpted ceramic forms.
Following a career in occupational therapy, Abby unearthed a long-buried creative joy and founded UNITYWARE ceramics. Her practice continues to evolve through hand-building coursework, independent study, and dedicated studio exploration. Through hand-built ceramic forms, she creates functional, sculptural works that invite interaction and storytelling. Her pottery has been featured in Garden & Gun's Made in the South Awards. Snyder lives and works on a sheep farm in northwest Arkansas, where the rhythms of rural life continue to inform her creative practice.
