Welcome to the It is Better to Give Than Receive Kit!

Have you heard the expression, “It is better to give than to receive”? Throughout history, this message has been conveyed by many cultures, religions, and philosophies. This kit explores the perspectives of artists Isamu Noguchi and Kristen Cliffel as they address the subjects of cultural and personal empathy and compassion. Noguchi, born of two cultures, subtly, yet powerfully, expresses the idea of cultural empathy, while Cliffel reminds us how important every single person is and that we are all worthy of loving relationships.
