Community Youth Tours

Crystal Bridges’ Community Youth Group Tours provide interactive gallery programs with an option for a hands-on activity for youth participating in community based programs such as after school centers, camps, or clubs. Crystal Bridges Museum of American Art offers a variety of tours to engage students of all grade levels and abilities, and connect to classroom practice, and summer themes.

Tours Offered

Crystals in Art: Ancient to Today
Dates Offered: October 16 - December 20, 2019

Today high-quality quartz crystals are mined from the mountains and caverns of Arkansas. On this tour, we will discuss the geographic relevance of crystals in Arkansas, and the long and storied history of how this iridescent, enigmatic material has captivated the imagination of artists and innovators across time and from around the world.

Hank Willis Thomas: All Things Being Equal...
Dates Offered: February 8 - April 20, 2020

Who controls the frame, controls the narrative. Combining familiar images from sports and advertising with histories of art and politics, conceptual artist Hank Willis Thomas examines popular culture, and how art can raise awareness in the ongoing struggle for social justice and civil rights.

Ansel Adams: In Our Time
Dates Offered: May 23 - September 7, 2020

This summer, take a trip across the American West through the lens of iconic American photographer Ansel Adams, together with more than 20 contemporary photographers.
