Crystal Bridges Museum of American Art will be closed Monday, May 13, to prepare for the visit of Antiques Roadshow. We will return to normal hours of operation Wednesday, May 15.

When did you last take some real time for yourself? We’d like to invite you to do just that—and get professional development credit for it too!

In this virtual creative retreat built just for educators, take a break from the demands of a busy school year and let us help you recharge with artmaking and reflection. Led by guest instructor Tram Colwin, we’ll take inspiration from Mother Nature through art, sound, journaling, and imaginative visualization—all from the comfort of your own home. We’ll dive deep into works from our collection that show the splendor of the natural world, then explore the perspective shifts and experiences those works reveal.

Then, we’ll take a restful but practical turn as we learn sketching and watercolor techniques to help you capture the vibrancy of natural settings on paper and carry it into your daily life.
