Students learning

Bring out your inner artist in this creative workshop just for teens!

We’ll dive into a fun and relaxed artmaking project inspired by our new exhibition Fashioning America: Grit to Glamour, and give you the skills to make something of your very own. Expressive and practical, your newfound skills will let you create the way you want, and maybe even help you make new friends along the way.

This month, local artist Jan Waldron will show us how to embellish vintage photographs with embroidered accessories. You’ll learn basic embroidery stitches, as well as how to add them to photographs and other paper projects to create brand new artworks.

No experience with embroidery? No problem! You’ll get step-by-step guidance to help your vision come to life in style. Beginner-friendly, this program is open to all experience levels and includes all necessary supplies.

Free, tickets required. Reserve your spot online or with Guest Services at (479) 657-2335 today.
