There’s a new exhibition coming to Crystal Bridges—and teachers, we want you to be among the first to see it!

Teachers and educators of all ages and disciplines are invited to a special preview of our new exhibition, The Dirty South: Contemporary Art, Material Culture, and the Sonic Impulse! Enjoy a guided walkthrough of the exhibition with a Museum Educator and have the chance to experience the multisensory celebration that is The Dirty South firsthand.

To help you share this experience with your students, you’ll also have the opportunity to speak with a Museum Educator about ways to connect the exhibition to your curriculum. From guidance on how to spotlight the history of the African American South in your lessons to a preview of what you can expect on a school tour, you’ll get an expert look at how to tap into the resources Crystal Bridges can provide.

For those wanting to dive a little deeper and add more expert insights, the exhibition’s free opening lecture will be held shortly after the tour. Best of all, you can even get professional development credit just for attending the evening. We hope to see you there!

Free, tickets required. Reserve your spot online or with Guest Services at (479) 657-2335 today.
1 hour of PD credit available with registration.

The Dirty South is organized by the Virginia Museum of Fine Arts: Valerie Cassel Oliver, VMFA’s Sydney and Frances Lewis Family Curator of Modern and Contemporary Art.
