Crystal Bridges is proud to host an enlightening Teacher Professional Development event centered on Navigating Lolelaplap, an exhilarating exhibition brought to life in collaboration with the Arkansas Coalition of Marshallese (ACOM). Dive into the heart of Marshallese culture as we embark on a journey that celebrates tradition while embracing the dynamic spirit of the Marshallese community in Northwest Arkansas.
In this immersive workshop, teachers will have the unique opportunity to explore, guided by the museum educators, the rich tapestry of Marshallese Indigenous culture. Delve into the exhibition’s vibrant displays, tying that experience seamlessly with artmaking by a Marshallese artist, offering a profound understanding of the resilience, creativity, and enduring spirit of the Marshallese people. This experience will empower educators to cultivate cultural understanding and appreciation within their classrooms.
Don’t miss this opportunity to navigate Lolelaplap and discover the beauty of Marshallese culture in our own backyard.
Tickets are $15 ($12 for members), reserve your spot online or with Guest Services at (479) 657-2335 today.
