Virtual Sketchbook Club: Kim Brewer
Join us as we explore the window to the soul with drawing exercises focused on the human eye. Learn techniques to enhance the expressive quality of your drawings as we practice together, virtually. Guests will use toned paper, black pen, and white paint marker to explore the way light interacts with our eyes. The sketching will be as quick and gestural as possible and is suitable for all skill levels. This program will be led by guest instructor Kim Brewer who will end the class with a short writing prompt exploring writing and drawing as a means of addressing identity.
Supplies (Instructor recommendations in parenthesis):
- Colored paper (Strathmore Toned Mixed-Media Paper)
- Ink pens (Faber-Castell Pitt Artist Brush Pen (Black))
- A white marker (Uni Posca Paint Marker (White) X-Fine .7mm)

About CB Sketchbook Club
An evening of sketching and discussion with our online creative community! Each week guests will be led through an introductory drawing exercise by a guest artist. Grab your sketchbook or some loose paper and a pencil or pen for this hour-long class that offers the chance to relax and connect digitally with friends as you explore the creative practice of sketching. Sketching offers the freedom to experiment with materials, themes, techniques, and to record the things that inspire you!
