Family Painting in classroom with young child

Create special family memories every second Saturday of the month with an afternoon full of art and fun! Join us for a revitalizing Second Saturday filled with peaceful moments and opportunities for movement and art-based relaxation. Check out our Obstacle Course hosted by Yoga Story, then pick up a trail guide and spend a meditative moment in nature!

Prefer making to movement? No problem! Families can experience how artists use emotions in their work through a hands-on activity at our Art Cart from 1 – 3 pm, or spend some time at drop-in artmaking in our studios creating artwork based on James Turrell’s Skyspace.
Want to learn even more about art and wellness? Join registered Expressive Art Therapist Lakisha Bradley for two in-gallery therapeutic activations using her book Mighty by Design: Healing Through Creativity, and art from the museum’s permanent collection. You can join these engagements at 1 pm or 2:15 pm.
It’s the perfect opportunity to discover how art can improve our wellness in a fun, family-friendly way!

Free, no tickets required. Feel free to drop in throughout the day.

Check out our other Second Saturday events.
