Pop-up Studio: Holliday Tintype
Step back in time with a one-of-a-kind tintype to capture your special museum memories!
Inspired by our Annie Leibovitz at Work exhibition, enjoy the opportunity to create a tintype photograph with Holliday Tintype. A tintype, also known as a melainotype or ferrotype, is an old style of photography that creates a photographic image on a thin sheet of metal or iron that has been coated with a dark lacquer or enamel. Join us in creating a timeless keepsake that blends the charm of nostalgia with modern creativity–this engaging hands-on artmaking experience is fun for the whole family. See you there!
$60 per tintype, no registration required. Drop in anytime between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m.
This experience is first come, first served. Each tintype can have a total of 3 people in it. Total time to get your photo taken is approximately 15 minutes. Finished tintypes will be shipped to you starting on Sunday, January 28. Shipping costs are included in the price of your tintype.
