About the Instructor

Rachel Borntrager

Rachel Grace Borntrager (she/her) is an abstract expressionist and portrait painter whose work is inspired by somatic therapy and the emotional complexity of human relationships. She is the creator of Soma-Line™, a therapeutic watercolor method that maps the body’s emotional responses and breath through intuitive linework and layered washes. In both her studio practice and her workshops, Rachel’s goal is to use art as a pathway to wholeness. Based in Fayetteville, Arkansas, she collaborates with therapists, nonprofits, and community groups to share her practice, helping people of all ages reconnect with themselves through creative expression.
