About the Instructor

Connor Dyer

Connor Dyer is an art educator that has over seven years’ experience teaching and creating art. She received her BFA in Metalsmithing and Jewelry, with a minor in Art History, from the University of Kansas, and her MFA in Metals from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. After graduating, Connor took a position as the Museum Educator at the Metal Museum, where she taught jewelry and metalsmithing to students of all ages and backgrounds. She is passionate about teaching students to love the creative process of art marking. Her own creative work often combines traditional metalworking with fibers in an exploration of popular culture.
