Let’s go fly a kite! Join us at Orchard Park in celebration of Asian American and Pacific Islander (AAPI) Heritage Month. The Asian Pacific Association Network, a resource group at Walmart, is collaborating with Crystal Bridges to co-host this free, drop-in program to highlight the joyful artistry of kite flying in Asian Pacific heritage and to stand in solidarity with our local AAPI communities.
This event is BYOK (Bring Your Own Kite), but additional kites will be made available for visitors to be shared on a first-come, first-served basis. For the craft-inclined, Crystal Bridges will also provide materials for a simple paper kite and string, as well as a gallery activity guide exploring AAPI artists at the museum. Orchard Park’s field and pavilion are located across the street from Crystal Bridges and the entrance road to the Scott Family Amazeum. See you there!
Free, no tickets required. Drop-in any time during the event.
