Juneteenth Celebration
Join Crystal Bridges and the Phi Alpha Omega Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc.® for a day of reflection, celebration, and community as we honor Juneteenth, a powerful commemoration of Black freedom and resilience.
Start your day at our Campus Parking Plaza with sounds curated by DJ Robyn of Her Set Her Sound, games and activities for all ages, community partners, and a communal public art project. Make your way to the museum to chat with representatives from regional community partner organizations and join us for gallery talks throughout our permanent collection that explore Black history, liberation, and cultural legacy. This is more than a celebration; it’s a living tribute to Black resilience, creativity, and collective power. Come ready to learn, reflect, dance, and connect.
