Glass & Metalwork: Metal Jewelry
Get a taste of jewelry making in this six-week introduction to metals. Build a strong foundation through essential techniques such as using the jewelers saw, cold connections and riveting, and basic enameling. By the end of the course, you’ll have the skills and confidence to continue your jewelry practice at home.

About the Instructor
Connor Dyer is an art educator with over seven years’ experience teaching and creating art. She received her BFA in Metalsmithing and Jewelry with a minor in Art History from the University of Kansas and an MFA in Metals from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. After graduating, Connor took a position as the Museum Educator at the Metal Museum where she taught jewelry and metalsmithing to students of all ages and backgrounds. She is passionate about teaching students to love the creative process of artmaking. Her own creative work often combines traditional metal working with fibers in an exploration of popular culture.
