Deborah Thomas is a fiber artist focusing primarily on tapestry weaving. Deborah’s work has been exhibited in regional exhibitions, most recently at the Walton Arts Center 2023 Our Art Our Region Our Time and at the 2023 Midwest Weavers Association’s A Confluence of Threads where her work was awarded First Place in Tapestry and the Popular Choice Award.
The Northwest Arkansas Handweavers Guild was founded in West Fork in 1949 to promote interest and greater skill in the fiber arts. From pictorial tapestry to historic replications, garments to towels, narrow bands to large throws, NWAHG members produce interesting work in wool, silk, cotton, tencel, and other fibers.
