About the Speaker

Maxfield Parrish II is the youngest grandson of the artist and illustrator Frederick Maxfield Parrish, painter of The Lantern Bearers, and the great-grandson of the etcher and artist Stephen Parrish. Max is also a Crystal Bridges volunteer and Art Cart Guide. Max grew up with his grandfather’s prints hanging throughout his house; his favorite artwork, Dinky Bird, was hung in his room.
