About the Speaker
Julia (she/her) grew up and lived in multiple places across the United States and in South Korea, engaging with all kinds of art and environments. Her experiences have allowed her to understand the crucial weight museums with diverse art collections and exhibits have on communities. Julia has developed a strong background in Asian American art history and identity. She has held previous positions at the Georgia Museum of Art, Smithsonian American Art Museum, and Art Bridges Foundation. Outside of her academic and professional interests, Julia enjoys painting, playing video games, and exploring new coffee shops and bookstores.
