Join Crystal Bridges Head of Interpretation Stace Treat in the Temporary Exhibition Galleries for a behind-the-scenes look at how the exhibition team combines artwork and interpretation to tell more complete and complex stories. Using our newest temporary exhibition, In American Waters: The Sea in American Painting as an example, this talk will focus on the interpretive elements used to explore the lasting impact European immigration by sea has had on American culture and politics.

Free with purchase of exhibition ticket. Reserve exhibition tickets online or with Guest Services in-person or by phone at 479.657.2335.

This exhibition is organized by Peabody Essex Museum, Salem, Massachusetts, and Crystal Bridges Museum of American Art, Bentonville, Arkansas.

Per the CDC’s updated guidelines, we are now requiring all guests ages 2 and up and staff to wear a face covering indoors and while attending outdoor programs, except while eating or drinking. Masks will be available upon entry for those who do not have one.
