Gallery Performance | Trillium Salon Presents: Ozark Free Music Society
Experience your museum in a new way, surrounded by art and nature and awash in music.
Join us in the Contemporary Galleries for a live musical performance with Ozark Free Music Society, presented by Trillium Salon Series. This Fayetteville-based collective, which meets monthly to perform improvised music for randomly-assigned ensembles, presents a specially assembled combo for one night only featuring Austin Cash (acoustic guitar), Nathan Riggs (electronics), Chaz Knapp (bass guitar/percussion), Nathan Smearage (acoustic guitar), and Reilly Hoffman (electronics).
More than a stoic performer on a distant stage, this evening performance promises to bring the energy of audience, musician, and place together in perfect harmony.
Free, no tickets required.
About Trillium Salon Series
Trillium Salon Series redefines the live music experience to invite connection and build community. Founded in 2016 by Katy Henriksen and Glenn France, Trillium Salon Series began with the idea of producing house concerts for classical music and expanded to include experimental and avant garde sounds. The first took place in Katy’s living room with string players from Artosphere Festival Orchestra playing Mozart alongside Lady Gaga to equal verve. Past salons include a celebration of Florence Price chamber music at Crystal Bridges Museum of American Art, a night of 21st century classical music at 21c Museum Hotel Bentonville, a live improv scoring to F.W. Murnau’s silent film classic Nosferatu with Thought Form Collective, a community led installation of 1,000 origami cranes at Likewise Community in downtown Fayetteville, and a New Year’s Day Potluck celebration at Mount Sequoyah Center.
