Gallery Opening Celebration: Foundations of American Art

Take an art break and join us for a day of creativity, exploration, and fun as we celebrate the opening of the first fully-transformed gallery of our ongoing museum expansion: the new Foundations of American Art gallery! 

Rediscover familiar favorites, see exciting new additions, and enjoy creative activities for all ages throughout the galleries as we explore the art and artists that make up the foundations of the shared American story.

Free, no tickets required. Drop by anytime from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.

11 AM – 5 PM: Family-friendly artmaking in the studios

1 PM: Join our friendly staff and curators for a gallery talk packed with fascinating stories about the artworks and how they’re displayed.

1–3 PM: Stop by the artcart in the gallery for hands-on fun and creative challenges.

All day: Take part in a scavenger hunt and uncover hidden treasures while exploring the collection together!
