Music and art are obviously connected—but have you ever considered how murals and Arkansas music might be connected?
Join Rare Books Librarian and Head of the Special Collections Instruction and Outreach unit at the University of Arkansas Joshua Youngblood for an exploration of Arkansas folk music, artist Diego Rivera’s murals, and their power to inspire change. Joshua will discuss Arkansas’s folk and spiritual music and its role in inspiring workers and civil rights movements, both at home and around the world.
Insightful, laid-back, and just plain entertaining, this event might just be your favorite conversation of the week.
