Teachers, you know better than anyone that learning can be fun—so why not learn a little with us?

Teachers and educators of all ages and disciplines are invited to enjoy an evening of learning and celebration. Come explore our newest temporary exhibition The Dirty South: Contemporary Art, Material Culture, and the Sonic Impulse, and discover classroom activities, materials, and more to inspire and inform your students. Learn how to tie art to your existing curriculum and give your students a deeper connection to the African American South.

Then, lean into those Friday vibes with food and a live music performance by Anthony Ball, the artist behind Music Moves and Smoothman Music Productions. Lively, fun, and full of passion, Anthony’s music promises to make this your favorite professional development event yet.

About Anthony Ball

Anthony Ball is a Northwest Arkansas musician and entrepreneur. Anthony has toured nationwide, working with artists Paul Jackson Jr., Myles Savage of The Platters, Vernon Reid of Living Colour, Blind Boys of Alabama, Byron Cage, Bobby Rush, Richard Smallwood, and more. Anthony’s booking agency, Smoothman Music Productions, provides premier entertainment for corporate shows, festivals, and private events. His newest venture is Music Moves, a nonprofit he co-founded to educate and engage the community through Black music. When Anthony is not performing on stage, you’ll find him producing shows for virtual performances, coordinating high-profile events, and working with community leaders to promote inclusion. A master at pivoting due to pandemic restrictions, Anthony has big ideas and an even bigger heart!
