Deep Listening Club | Summer Solstice
Join us for Deep Listening Club at Crystal Bridges.
Gather once a month for a shared sonic experience at the Skyspace, timed with the rhythms of nature—near the full moon, equinox, or solstice—during the Skyspace light show at sunset. As daylight fades, sound and light come together to create a moment of pause, presence, and deep listening. This month, we’re featuring Craig Colorusso and Joel Darling.
The session features a lineup of musical and sound artists curated in partnership with KOBV Radio. These immersive soundscapes are designed to awaken the senses while offering a soothing, restorative environment. Sound and light have long been used as tools for wellness—helping to calm the nervous system, encourage mindfulness, and invite reflection through gentle attention and shared experience.
The performances will begin 30 minutes before sunset and last 1 hour. Seating in the Skyspace is limited. Guests are encouraged to arrive early to secure a seat.
Free, no tickets required.

About the Artists
Craig Colorusso
Craig Colorusso is a sound artist and composer known for immersive, site-responsive performances that transform public and architectural spaces into shared listening environments. His work often uses minimal musical materials—repeating tones, sustained harmonies, and open-ended structures—to encourage attentive, contemplative listening over extended periods of time. Blurring the boundaries between concert, installation, and environment, Colorusso’s performances invite audiences to experience sound as spatial, social, and durational.
Joel Darling
Joel Darling is a versatile musician, producer, and engineer known for his ambient project, Half Power. Born out of the isolation of the pandemic in Manhattan, his music explores themes of melancholia, beautiful dissonance, and hope. With a background in Music Production & Engineering and Computer Science, Darling blends technical expertise with emotive soundscapes. His discography includes singles like “The Line” and “The Wreckage.” Beyond his solo work, he is a key collaborator in the band IEVA alongside Ieva Berberian (Gem Club) and Sean Greenhalgh (CYHSY), where he contributes to a sound influenced by 80s new wave and dream pop.
KOBV Radio
KOBV is a non-profit community radio station based in Bentonville, Arkansas, known for its eclectic music programming and community-focused content. With a reputation for amplifying local voices and throwing some of the best parties in town, KOBV brings a spirit of creativity, connection, and sonic exploration to each Deep Listening Club gathering.
