Lakisha Bradley is a Social Practice Artist, Certified Therapeutic Art Practitioner, Mental Health First Aid Certified, Entrepreneur, and currently a JBU counseling graduate student who discovered her love for art at five years old through teachings from her dad. After 16 years in corporate retail, Lakisha chose to take a leap of faith. While on the journey of rediscovering herself, Lakisha began to paint again. Art became a therapeutic and healing outlet. In 2017, she founded the award-winning MY-T-BY-DESIGN Therapeutic Art Studios serving youth and families within the juvenile justice system, Ozark Regional Transit, Crystal Bridges American Art Museum, Delta Airlines, assisted living facilities, schools, universities, and corporations. In 2018, she expanded her services by partnering with Carsten Counseling Services, LLC sharing the power of healing art with 16k+ individuals to date. One fun fact is that 90% of her team are small business entrepreneurs working together in the mission! Recently, Lakisha is the 2023 Mid America Arts Alliance Artist 360 Creative Impact Awardee. “Our goal at MY-T-BY-DESIGN is to leave you with a smile, and our mission is to strengthen the mental wellness of communities in a fun way, one paint stroke at a time.”
