Who says adult nights out have to be dull?
Indulge in a relaxed night of spirited creation at the museum! Led by artist, muralist, and painter Erin Ashcraft, we’ll enjoy an evening of guided artmaking paired with drinks and light appetizers.
Come unwind with your fellow creatives as we dive into a communal painting project together. Drawing inspiration from patchwork quilts, you’ll craft a personalized artwork designed to fit into a larger picture.
With Erin’s guidance, we’ll each make a painted “patch” that, by the end of the evening, will fit together to create a beautiful and unique communal mural.
No prior experience in art is necessary to be part of this program—we welcome guests of all experience levels. All materials are provided, along with light appetizers and one glass of beer or wine. See you there!
Tickets are $30 ($26 for members), reserve your spot online or with Guest Services at (479) 657-2335 today.
Erin Ashcraft is a painter, a muralist, and a lifelong native to Arkansas. She often draws inspiration from being immersed in the outdoors, from hiking in the Ozarks to reminiscing about her childhood growing up in the timberlands of the Delta. Erin studied Studio Art and Intercultural Studies at Southwest Baptist University in Bolivar, MO. This is where she unexpectedly discovered her love for the visual arts and also found herself involved in mural work through her university.
Her work is often described as expressionistic in style, often playing with bright and vibrant colors to convey a sense of nostalgia. Erin’s most recent work attempts to find the patterns and systems of the natural world that reflect the ones in our man-made world. In her short time as an artist, she has become passionate about bringing life and color into the public sphere for all people to appreciate.
