Bring out your inner artist in this adult creative workshop! Led by artist Sarah Hearn, you’ll learn different styles of Japanese bookbinding and make your very own handbound books. We’ll cover three distinct styles of bookbinding: Yotsume Toji (Japanese four-hole bookbinding), Kikko Toji (tortoise shell binding), and Asanoha Toji (hemp leaf bookbinding). You’ll learn a brief history of each style, as well as how each style is used in the present.

You’ll leave the workshop with three completed books and receive a copy of the bookbinding patterns so you keep using your new skills in the future. Beginner-friendly, this program is open to all experience levels and includes all necessary supplies.

See you there!
