Bring out your inner artist in this adult creative workshop! Led by guest instructor and local artist Madison Svendgard, we’ll learn how to create narratives in our work that express personal experiences.
Using illustration and acrylic paint techniques honed by the artist, you’ll create a work of art guided by a short story. Along the way, you’ll get step-by-step guidance to help your vision come to life.
Beginner-friendly, this program is open to all experience levels and includes all necessary supplies.

About the Instructor
Madison Svendgard
Madison Svendgard is a narrative-based artist creating works on paper that explore themes of labor, boredom, and escapism while using elements of magical realism to create intrigue in the mundane. Svendgard received her BFA from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln and MFA from the University of Arkansas with an emphasis in drawing. She was awarded the Coleman award for printmaking, the Vreeland award, and has work published in Glasstire and Thrillist magazine.
