Join us for an evening of drawing the world around you with a twist, led by guest instructor and artist Lily Hollinden.

We’ll learn, drink, unwind, and dive into an evening of relaxed, creative fun as we explore the basics of how to create still life drawings. Guided by Lily with step-by-step instruction, you’ll learn how to measure objects by sight, measure angles and proportions, pay attention to negative space, and more! By the end of the night, you’ll have created your own unique drawing to take home, as well as built a foundation for many more spirited creations in the future.

No experience? Not a problem! Whether you’re a doodler or Da Vinci, all skill levels are welcome and encouraged to attend. All drawing materials will be provided, though we encourage you to bring your own sketchbook if you have one. One drink is included with registration.

See you there!

Tickets are $20 ($15 for members), reserve your spot online or with Guest Services at (479) 657-2335 today.

About the Instructor

Lily Hollinden is a painter currently based in Fayetteville, Arkansas. She received her BFA from Indiana University Bloomington in 2019 and is currently pursuing her MFA at the University of Arkansas in Fayetteville. In her studio practice, she explores the idea of humor being an integral part of the human experience. Through the creation of her paintings, she philosophizes about evolutionary psychology, human nature, and vestigial traits that we exhibit. Her studio practice facilitates a cyclical understanding of herself through exploring these concepts in her paintings.
