Get to know a little more about this month’s Volunteer Spotlight: Patricia Adams!

Where are you from?

Pittsburgh, PA

How did you end up in Northwest Arkansas?

At around eight years old, we moved to the South. My parents traded being around my mother’s family for my father’s family in Arkansas.

What have you most enjoyed about being a volunteer at Crystal Bridges and/or the Momentary?

The flexible opportunities to be of help and also the adventure of it.

What’s your favorite artwork or space at Crystal Bridges and/or the Momentary?

Artwork: Maya Lin’s piece (Silver Upper White River) and Dale Chihuly’s Turquoise Reeds and Ozark Fiori.

Space: I absolutely love the Momentary!

Where do you volunteer? If you volunteer in many different capacities, which shift do you like best?

Everything I have done so far. I like having variety.

What do you do to relax?

Landscaping. I trim, cut, weed, and plant my yard. Indoors, it is all about television comedies, sitcoms, and rom-com’s.

What would an ideal day in Northwest Arkansas look like for you?

Day off, farmer’s market, good coffee, any festivals and/or antiquing, and a trip to an awesome museum (Crystal Bridges or the Momentary).

What’s your secret super skill?

I am a finder of lost things and a finder of things wanted. Also, I am a blazing fast ambidextrous collator.

If you had three wishes, what would they be?

For all humans past present and future to have:

1. The right vocation/occupation/career.
2. The right spouse/partner/significant other or roommate.
3. The right mattress and pillow.
