You Belong Here is part of an ongoing series of site-responsive neon sculptures. For this work, Strachan activates the most public facing wall at the Momentary, stretching 78 feet across and 25 feet high. Using the sky as its backdrop, the affirmative statement initiates a dialogue about how we define place and create a sense of belonging in our community. In the artist’s own words, “I wanted to make a work that everyone can own -- one that everyone can have…Because as soon as you read it, you say, ‘I belong here,’ and you do belong.”

You Belong Here (Perteneces aquí) forma parte de una serie de esculturas de neón que responden al sitio.
