Cactus Serenus
Flo Perkins draws connections between botanical rhythms and the act of glass blowing. Notice the flowers on each of these cacti and how they range from a closed bud to an open flower, echoing the cycles of nature. Perkins explores different color combinations, patterns, and arrangements, making each work unique. She created the swirling base of Cactus Serenus using millefiori, an Italian technique that translates to “a thousand flowers.”
