In the Orchard
Finely defined facial features—eyes, nose, mouth, jawline—emerge from a thicket of wispy lines that trace the figure’s hair and shoulders. The sketchy, garbled strokes surrounding the head almost define the space at times, but mostly remain in the world of nebulous abstraction.
