In this activity, you will learn about the work of artist Delita Martin through visual art, poetry, and storytelling projects facilitated by theater-maker Simone Cottrell. Use Martin’s Sisters artwork as inspiration for a creative writing project based on a personal memory. Then, turn your words into visual art by creating a poetry collage!

Simone Cottrell (she/her/hers) is the owner, founder, and creative disruptor of Rachhana Creative Consulting. She is also a social practice multidisciplinary theatre maker whose previous partnerships have included the Veterans Health Care System of the Ozarks, Workers Justice Center, and Marshallese Educational Initiative.
