Gallery Guide Training Program
Crystal Bridges Needs You!
New Gallery Guide Training Program beginning soon
We are seeking volunteers to serve as Gallery Guides in the Museum’s permanent collection and temporary exhibitions. Gallery Guides are an integral part of the guest experience at Crystal Bridges.
Bilingual volunteers are especially needed to guide Museum guests who speak Spanish or Marshallese. Other languages are also welcomed.
Prospective guides will be required to interview for the position and undergo two phases of training. Interviews will be conducted in November of this year. Phase one of the Guide training (a two-week intensive session) begins in February, and phase two in June.
Once each candidate has completed training and been accepted as a Gallery Guide, he or she will be asked to make a commitment to offering tours and attending ongoing trainings.
To learn more about what it means to be a Gallery Guide, and to receive an overview of the training required, attend one of these information sessions at Crystal Bridges Museum of American Art. Sessions will be held in the Bellows and Cassatt classrooms on the Museum’s lower level.
