About the Instructor
Taught by some truly amazing mentors in a farming community in South Dakota, Donya Bannister discovered her love of sewing early in life—a passion that has grown into a lifelong creative practice. Today, she is the owner and creative force behind Copper Spool Quilting in Northwest Arkansas, where she blends modern design with traditional quilting techniques.
Donya’s work has gained international recognition, including a feature in Issue 67 of Make Modern Magazine, a modern quilting publication based in Australia with readers across more than 70 countries. When she’s not creating or longarming quilts, Donya enjoys being with her family, playing with her dogs in the garden, and reading every book in front of her. To see more of Donya’s work, with some creative inspiration and behind-the-scenes fun, follow along on Instagram @copperspoolquilting or on Facebook at Copper Spool Quilting.
