Come meet guest painter, watercolorist, and artist Roseanne Kissee in The Studio!
Inspired by the striking colors and forms of flowers, Roseanne will be giving a “Flora Summer” watercolor demonstration all afternoon for beginners and experienced painters alike. You’ll get to know the person behind the art, learn about watercolor techniques, and learn more about the vision and creativity that informs Roseanne’s work.
You’ll also see a demonstration of her creative practice and process, get the chance to ask questions, and enjoy a unique, behind-the-scenes look at the work of a studio artist.
Free, no tickets required. Drop by anytime from 1 to 4 p.m.
Roseanne Kissee grew up in Neosho, Missouri and graduated with a Bachelor of Science in education from Missouri State University in Springfield, Missouri. She made a career as a commercial artist and product designer for Walmart Stores, Inc. Roseanne studied with nationally known watercolorist Tony Couch and Kevin Macpherson, a nationally known plein air oil painter.
Roseanne is a member of the Heart of America Artists and a signature member of the Artists of Northwest Arkansas and has won numerous awards. She has twice won the “Best of Show” at the Siloam Springs Competitive Art Show at John Brown University. Roseanne’s florals and landscapes are featured at the ANA Gallery at 121 W. Walnut, Rogers, Arkansas, and The Studio Gallery 30A at Grayton Beach, Florida, where she sells oil paintings of colorful houses and beach scenes.
