The Arkansas Cinema Society in partnership with the Micheaux Award & Film Labs are collaborating for a special screening of Far From Finished, a new web series from hip-hop artist Big Piph. This co-partnered program is hosted by Crystal Bridges Museum of American Art in the Great Hall. Far From Finished is a combination of Curb Your Enthusiasm, Atlanta, and Michael Jordan’s The Last Dance. The scripted series follows a fictional version of Big Piph presented in an eight-episode series of vignettes focused on him being an artist featured on The Kusp.
All episodes will be screened along with a musical interlude by Big Piph featuring songs from the soundtrack. A Q+A with Piph + Airic Hughes from Micheaux will follow. Doors open at 7. Show starts at 7:30. Admission is free. See you there!
Free, tickets required. Reserve your spot online through the Arkansas Cinema Society.
The adventurous lifestyle of Piph is enviable to many, but his past choices and failures have left him feeling trapped. Unsatisfied with that, he decides to ambitiously revamp his career to chase “the dream”…again.
Piph brings his real life friends and footage for this fact-fictional mockuseries. The seven-to-ten minute episodes relish in the nuances of a hip-hop creative, but are relatable to anyone who has a achieved a lot, but still feels there’s much more in life to do. New music inspired by and infused throughout the series will accompany it as well in the soundtrack.
